As a business coach for leaders and entrepreneurs, one of the first steps is to help them build their personal brand assets. One essential element of a strong personal brand is having high-quality professional photos. Many leaders and professionals wouldn’t have such photos.
That’s when I would often find myself searching for relevant photo poses for female leaders. The selection had to ensure the photos reflected their authority and authenticity while being versatile enough to use across platforms like LinkedIn, websites, and speaking events.
Did I get a shoot done for my petrsonal brand? Nah. I am a camera shy person and thanks to my Husband. He does a decent job to help me with lovely photos for my online presence.
And one day I decided to do my own photoshoot. The idea was to create a collection of practical, professional poses that female leaders and professionals could use as inspiration. We used multiple locations in Gurgaon to simulate formal as well as casual backdrops for various professional settings.
The shoot wouldn’t be possible without one of my favorite photographers in Gurgaon, Gagan Brar, who made a camera shy subject be easy throughout.
An equally huge credit goes to my Husband, Aditya Shrivastava for making me smile just by having him around.
To be my best in the photos, I chose to go without makeup, sticking to my usual routine — a touch of lipstick and subtle eye work.
I wanted the photos to represent how I look in real-life professional settings, staying true to my authentic self.
We captured headshots, mugshots, and full-length poses across a range of outfits: business suits, formal skirts, casual wear, Indian suits, and sarees; emphasizing grace to authority.
I have made sure to give my audience enough ideas for their next photoshoot.
Now having this library of photos and poses for female leaders will be useful for my clients as well as everyone who is looking for all ideas at one place.
If you’re a female leader or professional, I encourage you to plan a shoot. Not just for your personal brand but to pamper yourself.
I was in love with myself all over again after looking at all the photos.
Do share in comments if you need any tips from my photoshoot experience to help you get the best photo shoot experience.
